Dear Pere,
It is now Sunday morning again- a lovely sunny Autumn morning, when we are supposed to go in a party to Fontainbleau but are delayed owing to the early summer trains being off. Have you received my letters of last Sunday?
Sunday afternoon Mr. Cracken & I heard some fine music at the Pas de Coup Concert, Cirque d’hiver, Boulevard du Temple. The light piece, “l’apprenti Sorcier” was most curious & really humorous, but very enjoyable.
Monday night I worked at the office & then went on to my little bearded professor. Last night I was there again & we had quite a lot of music on his old piano.
Tuesday we had a great Equipe meeting – some twenty of us- but the subject was great. Viz –the question of increasing our pocket money in Paris. Very interesting.
Wednesday night Mr. Cracken & I went to “La Belle Helena” at the Gaiete Theatre- a light opera by Offenback- a humorous take off of the classical, but containing some very beautiful waltzes.
Thursday we had an at home again at our Rue de Sevres apartments when Ernest Holliday & Mark Hayler started off with some humorous readings, & then we finished with funny stories from all comers.
Friday evening I stayed at home & wrote a long letter to Horace Cudbird. The number of letters I owe is alarming. I have not yet written to Gertie (Taylor) at all nor Emily & Mr. J. I have not written for ages. In fact I owe everyone letters.
Saturday afternoon I worked at the office for a time. Their Jack Woodall & I went out to Smith’s tea rooms (over their food shop) to a slender tea at f2.50 a piece. I then rushed back to a bath & dinner, & then went off to Mr. Scherrer.
I enclose five photos.
I must close now as it is nearly time to set out.
I wish you could send in one of those pairs of opera glasses laying about there. They are too expensive here. But they would take a long time to come via St. Brides St. Still it might be worth it.
Love to all.
Yours  Don.
I trust you are keeping free from colds & all such & all of your.
