Dear Pere
Thanks for your letter of 20th. You will probably have now received my note from office. Bu the way don’t forget to send as soon as possible, my “Paracelsus”, & one of the copies of my Apologia if not too late. They are all together in the bookcase upstairs.
Thanks too for sending the things on: they have arrived somewhere in Paris we know, but owing to some miscalculation our “Personel” department cannot lay their hands upon them just at present. But it is something to know they are here in Paris- probably in some one’s kit bag. The postal parcel of six collars arrived Tuesday night.
The smallest pants would do: but I have two little shorts now. Re boots, I meant my other pair at Tudor which had just been mended. Dont lose my best boots! But they cant be far.
I am glad the others have gone to Deal & wish you would go. How is Elsie? I must try & write to her one day: but “je suis presse, with many letters etc.
The two American girls I spoke of, a French girl their friend, & Hotson & myself went to Fontainbleau last Sunday & spent a sylvan day in the woods & in going over the old chateau.
I am finishing this before leaving for the office in the morning so must hurry.
I am devoting my spare time just at present to learning accompaniments for one of the American girls.
It is cooler weather now, but still splendid weather.
Yrs affectionately
Don . I enclose 4 PGs
