Marion was born in Uxbridge, according to the 1871 census return. However, the only Marion Morton I could find in earlier censuses was born in Wapping - so there is some disparity here.

In the 1891 census Fanny appears as Fanny Humphreys with presumably step-mother Fanny. Marion Humphreys, I believe her real mother, died towards the end of 1879 perhaps in child birth. I suspect she was not originally given the name Fanny.
