Known affectionately as Nursie to Peter Bearman who maintained contact until she died. Vera K Wood shows in 1939 register in household with Peter, parents and siblings as a children’s nurse. It shows her birth as 1904, but the only matching record I could find was for 1903 and the matching death record with exact date of birth must be her, although I remembered her death as a few years earlier. Odd. Probate record shows as living at 10 St Augustine’s Close, Broxbourne at time of death.
