Peter Kevan was most likely the brother of Nathaniel Kevan and Samuel Kevan. Both witnessed each other’s weddings and were born in the same place and land tax records placed them together in 1826 - they were originally both slaters. However, I have not yet discovered who their parents were.

Freebmd marriage records show Peter as marrying twice. The first time to Elizabeth Louisa Gain in 1876 - and she apparently died in 1886 at the age of 33, however I have not been able to find the 1881 census record with them on. Strangely in 1911, the number of years married is recorded as 35 - which would date from the first marriage. There was record of an Eliza Gammon, born in Rye, Sussex 1853 in the 1861 and 1871 censuses, could not definitively find her in 1881. And can find neither her nor Peter in 1891 after they married.
